The Start+ 3D pen is designed to work with our 3Doodler Start+ Eco-Filament. Our Start+ Eco-Filament was developed specifically for this pen so that you can doodle at safe, lower temperatures.

The Flow pen is designed to work with 1.75 mm filament of PLA or ABS. In addition to our own brand of filament, this pen has been designed to utilize 3rd party filament as well.

The 3Doodler PRO+ can use ABS and PLA as well as Wood, FLEXY, Metal, and Nylon filament strands.
Each material has an optimum extrusion speed and temperature setting, as well as unique properties that offer unlimited possibilities. The 3Doodler Eco-filament for Start+ is not compatible with the 3Doodler PRO+. 

The 3Doodler Start+ Eco-Filaments are 100% non-toxic, so there are absolutely no fumes.

As with any 3D printing filament, working in a well ventilated area is highly recommend for all types of 3Doodler filament. 

For the Start+, PRO+, and Create+ pens, 3Doodler filament is specifically optimized for the 3Doodler pens. It’s not possible to use other brands or types of filament in your 3Doodler.

The 3Doodler Flow and PRO have been designed specifically to utilize 1.75 mm filament, including 3rd party filaments.

We recommend that all of our filament for our 3Doodler 3D printing pens be stored in a cool, dry, dark place.

The 3Doodler Start+ Eco-Filament is completely safe for skin contact.

Please don’t try to draw on skin with the 3Doodler Create+, PRO+ or FLOW. You’ll burn yourself! 

Recycling options for 3D printing filament vary by location. The first step is to check your local recycling authority’s website or call nearby recycling centers or makerspaces to ask if they accept 3D printing materials.

Start+ Eco-filament is made of biodegradable materials and is non-toxic. While not typically accepted in curbside recycling, some recycling centers, makerspaces, or specialty programs may accept it.

ABS, Nylon, and Metal filaments can be recycled as number 7 filament where facilities accept them.

PLA and Wood filaments biodegrade under specific industrial conditions. For proper disposal, contact local recycling providers.

Start+ Eco-filament is made from biodegradable, non-toxic materials. Under environmental conditions that support biological breakdown (for example: sustained heat, moisture, and microbial activity), the filament can gradually degrade.

Note: once filament has been extruded, it cannot be reused in the pen.

Chose your material – ABS or PLA – and then manually lower the temperature to a lower setting than the default temperature. Use the slower end of the speed range, and remember PLA takes around 4~6 seconds to harden, while ABS takes around 3 seconds to harden. Moved the pen in the direction you want to draw, gently pull up, and then hold the pen in place until the plastic hardens. Then continue for the next line. 

You need to unplug the pen and then plug it back in to reset the pen, then you can chose between PLA and ABS.

You can use the button next to the LCD screen to increase or decrease the temperature after you have chosen the correct material.

Our 3D pens go to sleep after 5 mins of non usage. Once a pen is asleep you can simply press the forwards button on the pen and it will wake it back up. 

The pen has detected an error. T he error could be small, for example the temperature did not rise fast enough or something else is not working. First try unplugging and then re-plug in the pen. Most of the time this will solve the issue. If unplugging and replugging dose not solve the issue and you are still getting the error screen you can try a different plug or outlet. If that still dose not help then please reach out to customer service on help@wobbleworks.net.

3Doodler PRO+: 5V 2.1A with a 3.5mm barrel, center-pole-positive.
